The XVIth board of Study association Psychology in Nijmegen
Every year in October, the members of the SPiN board pass the torch to new student members. This year, these students are distributed over seven functions: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Formal Internal Affairs Officer, Informal Internal Affairs Officer, Academic Relations Officer, and External Affairs Officer. They commit themselves to SPiN and its members for one year and become part of the association’s daily management.
From left to right: Julia Dicks, Maud Ververs, Aenea van der Kruk, Floor Roerdink, Rob Oltvoort, Mart Schuttinga en Siri Joustra.
Chair
Hey!
My name is Floor, I’m 20 years old and currently in my third year of the bachelor. In the upcoming year I will be the Chair of SPiN! Last year, I was an active member within the Party & Drinks committee as well as the Workfield and Future committee which gave me an insight into this amazing association. Therefore, I am so excited and honoured to be part of SPiN’s board this year and looking forward to, what I’m sure will be, an amazing year.
If you have any further questions, or just want to have a chat, you can always contact me at chair@spin-nijmegen.com
I hope that you will come by the SPiN room because I would love to meet all of you and otherwise Ill see you at the next activity
See you soon,
Floor Roerdink (the Floorzitter)
Secretary
Hey!
My name is Maud, I am 21 years old, and I am currently a third-year student. This year I am the secretary of the XVIth board of SPiN.
I have been an active member for two years now. In my first year I was in the Freshmen committee and last year I was in the citytrip committee in which I organized the citytrip and daytrip.
During the past two years I have met so many nice people. I am really looking forward to the upcoming year and meeting even more people. We will make some fun memories together and make this an unforgettable year.
If you have any further questions or if you want to get in contact with me, you can always contact me at secretary@spin-nijmegen.com
Love,
Maud
Treasurer
Hey everybody,
My name is Mart, I am 22 years old, and I will be the treasurer of SPiN in the coming year. I am now also in my third year of the English track of the bachelor. In my free time I like to do sports, so you can see me in RSC doing fitness, or playing (field) hockey at Apeliotes.
Having gotten to know already so many nice members, this association has become very dear to me, and I am very much looking forward to keeping SPiN financially happy another year.
If you have any questions or fun treasurer memes, you can also mail me at treasurer@spin-nijmegen.com
With protein rich regards,
Mart
Formal Internal Affairs Officer
Hello everyone!
My name is Aenea, I’m 21 years old and I am currently in my third year of the bachelor. I will be the Formal Internal Affairs Officers of SPiN this year. In this role, I will be dedicating my time to various committees within SPiN, especially the study-related ones. I have been an active member in the orientation committee last year. This way I got to know a lot of new people, which I really liked! In my free time you can find me taking serene walks along the Waal River, indulging in the melodies of my piano, reading a good book or going out with my friends.
If you have any questions or just want to chat, come visit the SPiN room! Or you can always contact me through my mail: formal@spin-nijmegen.com
I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you and making unforgettable memories together this year!
Love,
Aenea
Informal Internal Affairs Officer
Hey everyone!
My name is Rob, I’m 22 years old and I will be the Informal Internal Affairs Officer of SPiN this year! Simply put, I will supervise a lot of the informal committees.
This will likely not be a surprise for the people who already know who I am, as most of you know me as “the DJ”.
Due to corona, I joined as an active member in the third year of my bachelor and during my Master last year. In these years, I have made a lot of new friends and met so many amazing people! It was even the driving factor for me to do a board year after graduating my Master’s.
I aspire to guide my committees in the best way possible and make this year an overall big success! If you have any questions for me, or just want to chat you can mail me at internal@spin-nijmegen.com
With spinning regards,
Rob
Academic Affairs Officer
Howdy y’all!
I am Julia and in the next year I will be your Academic Relations Officer at SPiN. I am 21 years old and currently in my fourth year of the Bachelor. I am really passionate about education and will be using this to fulfil my function in the board to my best abilities.
In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, try different sports and travel. I just returned from a semester abroad in Bulgaria and am now jumping into the next adventure, a board year at SPiN! I have many fond memories of the past two years as active member, so I am highly motivated to provide the same for all of you! Let’s make this a great one!
As the sole representative of German Psychology students on the board, you can also consider me the dedicated importer of cheaper goods from Germany and watcher of punctuality.
If you have ever any questions about the book sale, opinions to share about the study programme, or have a good café recommendation for me, you can always text me or send an email to academic@spin-nijmegen.com
See you in the SPiN room, where you can hopefully soon, expect chats, laughs and loads of German cookies for you 😉
Love,
Julia
